- Mash the bananas to a fine paste in a blender. Mix that with the jaggery water.
- Add the jaggery banana mash to the dry ingredients in parts. Mix well and adjust water if needed, until you get an idli batter consistency.
- Grease appe pan with ghee or oil. Wait for it to heat up a little.
- Pour in 1 tbsp of the batter into each cavity. Add more ghee on top. Flip and cook until all sides brown evenly. Don’t overcook. Always do on low flame.
- Serve as festival prasad to God or enjoy on a rainy day as hot snack with chai.
