- Heat up pan with a bit of oil and fry garlic and onions until fragrant.
- Stir fry minced meat and mushroom.
- Add water and sweet soy sauce.
- Mix corn starch with a bit of water. Ensure that the gravy (water and sweet soy sauce) is boiling and then, add starch to thicken the gravy.
- Remove tofu from steamer and remove excess water.
- Pour gravy on top of steamed tofu.
- Garnish with ingredients in (C).
Tofu is one of my favourite ingredients in Chinese cooking. Although it's cheap and common, it could be served in an elegant way to impress my family and friends, just by I used a food processor to make the prawn (shrimp) paste.
